Iranian hackers are using psychological warfare tactics to target government officials and employees at major companies, making them more difficult to divert attention and resources away from their own operations. The Handala Hack Team, a pro-Iran hacktivist group linked to Iran's intelligence services, leaked emails purportedly from FBI Director Kash Patel's personal Gmail last week and claimed to have accessed data from U.S.- and Israel-based Lockheed Martin employees. The Lockheed Martin claims remain unverified. The campaigns can also pressure key supporters of the U., Israel, and the United States if the threats escalate. The U.N. government has accused Iran's Ministry of Intelligence and Security of operating Handala, which also claimed responsibility for a cyberattack on U.
