Phoenix council set to vote on immigration enforcement oversight

The Phoenix City Council is considering new restrictions on immigration enforcement agencies, including those from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), including those of the United States. The proposal would prohibit ICE from using city property without approval from the city manager. The measure also expands tracking of ICE activity in the city and would train city employees about confronting federal agents. The council will vote on the proposal at its next meeting.
