Newtown Gallery Spotlights Geometric Abstraction In New Exhibit

Newtown Gallery, ArtWRKD founder and resident artist Ashara Shapiro, has unveiled a new exhibition titled "Grand Gestures: A Celebration of Artist Jim Hamilton". The exhibition, which includes early influences from Piet Mondrian and Lyonel Feininger, traces Hamilton's journey to create the distinctive geometric language seen in his current work. The exhibition also includes works by Richard Diebenkorn, Paul Klee, Josef Albers, Frank Stella, and Mark Rothko. The exhibit highlights the evolution of Hamilton's artistic voice over time, with early and current works being presented side by side to showcase continuity and transformation.
