Gregory Knopf, a 64-year-old Ohio man known for his love of his family and devotion to his faith, was killed in an industrial accident at a Ford Motor Company transmission plant on Monday, March 16. The accident occurred when a press machine accidentally turned on and pinned an employee, causing him to be pinned. The worker was freed from the machine and treated for life-saving measures before being taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead. The incident is being investigated by the coroner’s office, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and the Ford Motor Co. are also investigating the accident.
