Portland Community College (PCC) has reached a tentative agreement with striking classified employees, marking the first ever strike at an Oregon community college. The agreement includes a 5% cost of living adjustment for the 2026-27 school year and a $1,350 lump sum after ratification. The faculty and classified unions had been protesting for better pay. The college and its faculty union are still in negotiations over pay for strike time. If the strike continues, spring term classes may be delayed by one week and financial aid disbursements may also be impacted.
