Argentinian musician Dante Spinetta has released his sixth solo album, DÍA3, which is the final installment in a trilogy that began in 2017 with Puñal. Spinetta, a veteran of the Argentine scene, is a pioneer of the fusion of styles that has become the norm in Latin music. The new album includes funk and hip-hop, but also incorporates elements of tango and cumbia. The theme of this record is resurrection. Spineta was inspired by a breakup and the excess of information on social media. He recorded the 12 tracks thinking of his former band, Illya Kuryaki and the Valderramas, and said he was looking for new ways to create texture.
