The Guilford County Sheriff's Office has arrested 37-year-old Travis Jaamal Sistrunk on charges of first-degree murder and intentional child abuse. The infant's death occurred on the night of Dec. 8, 2023 in Brown Summit, North Carolina, following a cardiac arrest. The investigation into the death began after a life-saving attempt was made at a local hospital. The arrest was made following a two-year investigation by the sheriff's office Major Crimes Investigative Unit.
