Australian travel booking platform Lastminute.com.au, a 25-year-old site, has announced it is ending its operations and will cease accepting new bookings in June before ending operations by November 2026. This closure allows the company to gradually close its operations without canceling the trips of those who already paid for them. The company, which was acquired by Expedia in 2014, will be incorporated into the wider Expedia platform once all last travelers complete their booked trips. The closure will affect all travel options, including hotels, flights, car hire, packages, and activities.
