Shaison Laupola, 36, has been charged with first-degree murder and second-degree assault in relation to a fatal shooting in Kapolei, Hawaii. Court documents reveal that a dispute over an iPad led to the fatal shooting of Noel Lono, a 26-year-old woman. Her 16-year cousin was shot in the arm and hand and is currently in serious condition. Laupolas allegedly demanded an iPad when the teenager's ex-boyfriend could not be found, leading to an argument that escalated when Lono came home and refused to leave without his iPad. The deputy prosecuting attorney for Lauppola argued that he was a flight risk due to the severity of his charges. The bail is set at $500,000 and another offense has already been charged.
