Around 100 white-tail deer were found dead after a train spilled corn over an 80-mile stretch of railroad tracks in northwestern Minnesota. The incident has led to numerous calls from local man, Robert Porter, who has been reporting deer deaths along the tracks for weeks. The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources confirmed that an accidental corn spillage occurred along the railway. The spilled corn can draw deer to the tracks, and deer typically try to evade the train down the tracks during winter. The number of injured deer has also been estimated at around 15.
