Gerald and Alice Uden, a 71- and 74-year-olds couple from Chadwick, Mo., were both arrested for murder in connection with the decades-old killing of her third husband, Ronald Holtz, in Wyoming, which had been unsolved for nearly 40 years. Alice was also taken into custody one day after her arrest, accused of murdering her ex-wife, Virginia Uden and her two young sons in 1980. The case shocked the community and their families. Alice had previously confessed to killing Holtz to her son, Todd Scott. Gerald was sentenced to life in prison in 2013 after pleading guilty to all three murders. Alice died in prison the following year.
