The Indianapolis Colts have structured Alec Pierce's contract to give the team salary-cap relief in 2026 and save larger cap hits for 2027 and beyond, after several other large contracts come off the books. Pierce's four-year deal includes a $26 million signing bonus and makes him the 11th-highest paid receiver in the NFL. The contract also includes a void year in 2030 that spreads out the cap hit further, but this will not affect the deal unless the Colts negotiate an extension at some point in the future. The first two base salaries of Pierce's 2028 base salary are fully guaranteed at the time of signing, and if Pierce is on the roster on the fifth day of the 2027 league year, $14 million of that salary becomes fully guaranteed, and an additional $10 million becomes fully assured on the 5th day of 2028.
