SpaceX's Falcon Heavy rocket is set to fly for the first time in a year and a half, with a launch from NASA's in Florida on April 27. The rocket will be topped with the ViaSat-3 F3 communications satellite, which will provide high-throughput broadband service to customers throughout the Asia-Pacific region. Falcon Heavy employs three modified first stages of SpaceX's workhorse rocket, which generate about 5.1 million pounds of thrust at liftoff. The launch will take place during an 85-minute window that opens at 10:21 a.m. EDT (1421 GMT). The central booster will not be recovered and fall into the Atlantic Ocean when its work is done.
