Peruvian presidential election results will be finalised by mid-May, with challenged ballots still being reviewed. With 93 percent of ballots counted, right-wing candidate Keiko Fujimori leads with 17 percent. A close contest for second place is between left-wing and ultra-conservative Rafael Lopez Aliaga. The European Union's election observer mission has stated that the vote meets democratic standards.
