Angel Vargas, a 25-year-old repeat offender in Joliet, has been arrested by the police after allegedly shooting up another house. This arrest occurred while Vargas was wearing his court-issued ankle monitor. He is the brother of Joliet first-degree murder defendant John Roy "Johnny Junior" Hernandez. The shooting occurred on Friday, March 6, and no injuries were reported. Following an investigation, detectives identified Vargas as the suspect. They also found a loaded 9mm handgun and a loaded.40 caliber handgun capable of converting the firearm to fully automatic capability.
