The increasing number of sex scandals in Washington has led to the resignation of Rep. Tony Gonzalez (R-Texas), who initially denied an extramarital affair with a married woman on his congressional staff, and the alleged affair of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem with President Trump's former campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski. The Labor Department secretary, Lori Chavez-DeRemer, is also under investigation for allegedly having a sexual affair and coordinating official travel with personal trips to a Las Vegas resort and a strip club. Concerns have also been raised about FBI Director Kash Patel’s use of government jets and FBI agents for himself and his girlfriend, Alexis Wilkins. These scandals have been compared to previous scandals involving Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the secretary of Health and Human Services, who was embarrassed after revelations of sexual texting with a journalist.
