Apple is reportedly testing at least four different frames for its upcoming smart glasses project, using premium materials. The glasses, which are not augmented reality, feature integrated cameras, microphones and sensors and will be able to relay notifications from the phone to the user, play music, and interact with AI features like Siri and visual intelligence capabilities. The front cameras will be arranged in an oval pattern, surrounded by indicator lights, another design point that distinguishes Apple’s product from competitors. The project is expected to be announced later this year or early in 2027, with a release in spring or autumn 2027.
