Curtis appeared on "The Breakfast Club" to discuss the incident and claimed it was unintentional. The hosts of the show, Charlamagne Tha God, DJ Envy, Jess Hilarious and Loren LoRosa, defended Curtis' claims about her background. Curtis had previously issued an apology on her Instagram story, writing that the word in question was wrong and not part of my vocabulary. The network removed Curtis and her show from the network due to the offensive racial comment.
