Elon Musk reveals 'plus side' of quantum computing breaking Bitcoin

Elon Musk, the world's wealthiest person, has responded to Google's new warning about the potential threat quantum computing poses to Bitcoin by 2029. The warning suggests that quantum computers could be able to crack cryptography encrypting cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, which could happen within nine minutes of a real-time Bitcoin transaction. Google recommended the transition to post-quantum cryptography (PQC) to combat this threat. However, Musk also revealed that there is a "plus side" to the quantum threat, stating that if you forgot the password to your wallet, it will be accessible in the future.
