Jailed Trump ally Tina Peters, who tried to reverse 2020 results, granted clemency by Colorado’s Dem governor

Former Colorado county clerk, Tina Peters, has been granted clemency by Democratic Gov. Jared Polis for attempting to overturn the results of the 2020 election. Peters, who served as the clerk during the presidential contest between Donald Trump and Joe Biden, was convicted in 2024 of conspiracy to commit criminal impersonation, official misconduct, violation of duty, and failure to comply with secretary of state requirements. Her mandatory release date was set for 2033.
