N.J. health system plans to build a new medical school in Atlantic City

AtlantiCare and Temple University have announced plans to open a new regional medical school campus in Atlantic City. The new campus will be one of four locations for the Lewis Katz School of Medicine and will connect to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in the city. The partnership is expected to lead to improved health outcomes for South Jersey residents and address physician shortages within the health system. The first class of students will arrive in August 2029.
