Fresno Arts Council ex-manager pleads guilty to embezzlement

Suliana Caldwell, former operations manager of the Fresno Art Council, has pleaded guilty to embezzling $1.8 million from the organization. The stolen funds were used to gamble at casinos, fund vacations and cover personal expenses. Sentencing is set for August 10, 2026.
