Senators Call on Court to Examine 'Suspicious Circumstances' Around Live Nation Settlement

Senators Amy Klobuchar, Elizabeth Warren, and Corey Booker are urging the Southern District of New York to review Live Nation's surprise settlement with the Department of Justice, amid reports that the deal may have been influenced by political influence. The senators, signed a letter to Judge Arun Subramanian, accused the company of making a deal in response to political pressure rather than the public interest. They also highlighted concerns about the ouster of several top officials in the Justice Department’s antitrust division and lobbying efforts of Mike Davis, a MAGA influencer hired by Live Nation. The court was not informed about the deal until a hearing four days later, March 9.
