The York food waste "saints" who feed city's children

Two women from New York City have been instrumental in feeding "tens of thousands" of children through their willingness to help families cope with the cost of living. They collect surplus food from local businesses that is either lightly damaged, past its best before date, or not needed. The food is often more than the food banks can handle and some of it goes to schools. The women's primary focus is on helping children with basic necessities.
