Texas families have until March 17 to apply for the state's new Education Freedom Accounts program, which uses state-funded education savings accounts to help cover private school tuition, homeschooling, tutoring and other costs. The program was created by the Texas Legislature and will take effect in the 2026-2027 school year. If successful, families could receive over $10,000 for private schools and up to $30,000 per year for students with disabilities who have an IEP. The application deadline is March 17.
