Metallica's All Within My Hands foundation partnered with the American Red Cross in April 2025, resulting in over 25,000 blood donations across the U.S. and around 40,000 worldwide. The band encouraged blood donation at overseas stops on their M72 World Tour. The initiative also led to a new generation of donors, with 16% of participants being first-time donors and nearly half of them aged 16-24. Donors can make an appointment to donate blood by downloading the Red Cross Blood Donor App, calling 1-800-RED CROSS (1-1919) or using the Blood Donour Skill on any Alexa Echo device.
