Man charged in 1980 Everett killing of Susan Vesey after new DNA evidence, police say

Mitchell Gaff, a man in his 60s, has been charged with aggravated murder and first-degree murder in the 1980 killing of Susan Vesey, a 21-year-old Everett woman. Gaff was previously arrested in May 2024 for the 1984 killing of another Everett woman, Judy Weaver. The case was solved through new DNA evidence.
