The Artemis II mission, which will take place on March 24, 2026, is set to be the first time NASA has launched a crewed mission beyond Earth's orbit and will be led by the first Black astronaut, the first woman, and the first non-American to visit the moon. The mission will also break several longstanding records, including the fastest human reentry time in history and the fastest reentry since Apollo 10. The crew will be transported into space by a giant, 322-foot-tall rocket stack, taller than the Statue of Liberty, and will take a 10-day journey around the moon and back.
