Croston calls for changes while resigning at Hennepin Healthcare

Dr. Kevin Croston, co-administrator at Hennepin Healthcare in Minneapolis, resigned from the position after less than four months in the position. He cited "micromanagement" by Hennepsin County commissioners in his decision to step down. Croston had proposed a major restructuring plan that would have reduced jobs and expenses. The health system plans to appeal to the Legislature for more public funding to avoid layoffs and facility closures. County Commissioner Jeff Lunde endorsed the restructuring plan, but it has been delayed to focus on their ongoing legislative push for a Hennepingin County sales tax to fund the hospital.
