A U.N. inquiry has begun investigating a fatal strike on a primary school in Iran on the first day of U.S.-Israeli attacks. The attack, which reportedly involved two missile strikes in quick succession, killed 168 children, mostly girls. If confirmed, this would be among the worst incidents of civilian deaths in decades of U.,S. military strikes in the Middle East. The Pentagon has since elevated the probe to a higher level.
