Suspect Shoots Himself After 8-Hour-Long Joliet Standoff In Marycrest: Sheriff's Office

The Will County Sheriff's Office has ended an 8-hour-long SWAT situation in Joliet's Marycrest subdivision after the suspect shot himself in the head. He was found inside the home with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound and is in critical condition. The Will/Grundy Major Crimes Task Force will take over the investigation. The suspect, who was being pulled over for multiple felony warrants, remains at a home two streets over the scene where he remains.
