The Supreme Court is reportedly willing to toss out thousands of ballots, most of which will be cast by Democrats. Mississippi law allows ballots that arrive after Election Day to be counted if they arrive up to five business days after the election. The Republican Party argues this violates federal law. However, at least four members of the Supreme Court, all Republicans, seem likely to support the GOP's case. The outcome of the case depends on whether the three Democratic justices can retain both Roberts and Barrett.
