A 7-month-old girl was fatally shot in the head by a stray bullet while her mother was pushing her and her 2-year-old brother in a double stroller near Humboldt and Moore Sts. The shooting is believed to have been gang-related and the baby was an unintended target. The shooter and his accomplice fled on the scooter they were sharing, which then crashed three blocks from the scene. The baby's father, who was grazed by the bullet, rushed his daughter to Woodhull Hospital where she died. Police took a 21-year old person of interest into custody later in the afternoon, and charges were not immediately filed against him.
