New Superintendent Selected To Lead Bernards Township Schools

The Bernards Township Board of Education unanimously appointed Kristin Fox as Superintendent of Schools, effective from Sept. 1, 2026, and her contract is extended until June 30, 2030. Fox will replace Superintendent Nick Markarian, who is retiring. The Board did not specify Fox's salary during the meeting. Markarian's salary as of 2026 is $255,000. Fox, who has served 18 years in the district, was praised for her knowledge of district programs and operations.
