Nathan Dean Talks Grieving His Brother’s Death, Admits He Had ‘No Idea’ He Struggled with Mental Health (Exclusive)

Actor Nathan Dean (formerly Parsons) is opening up about his late brother, Jared, who died in 2018. Speaking on the April 12 episode of Maurice Benard's State of Mind podcast, Dean revealed that Jared was struggling with mental health and had waited two weeks after his mom's birthday to commit suicide. He admitted that there were no signs that his family noticed and that he had no idea his brother was dealing with this issue. Dean also mentioned the recent loss of his former co-star Anthony Geary, who passed away peacefully due to complications from an operation. Despite his struggles, Dean remains positive about his future in acting and his upcoming return to General Hospital.
