EasyJet has had to force out five passengers on a flight from Southend Airport in Essex due to the plane being too heavy to take off. The flight was scheduled to fly to Malaga, Spain, and the Airbus A319 exceeded the weight limits due to weather conditions and the short length of the runway. The captain made an announcement over the intercom stating that the plane was too cumbersome for a safe departure. Despite this unusual situation, passengers were praised for their voluntary evacuation and departure. The three-hour flight eventually departed for Malaga just 12 minutes behind schedule.
