Three pedestrians have been hit and killed on Lafayette Street in the past month, including Yulonda Parham, 31, and Kanon Oldham, 27. The incident occurred on Easter Sunday as they were leaving a popular bar in the area. The owner of LinQ Social Kitchen, Chad White, stated that this is not the first time a driver has hit their customer on the street. In the last three years, there have been more than 175 crashes on the same street, with 17 seriously injured or killed. The Metro Nashville Police are still searching for the driver responsible for the hit-and-run. There are safety upgrades in the works for Lafayette, largely funded by federal dollars, but likely won't be implemented for another year.
