Adam Johnson, known as "Podium Guy" or "Lectern Guy," is running for local office in Florida after serving 75 days in jail and being ordered to pay a $5,000 fine for his actions during the attack on the U.S. Capitol in 2021. He was later pardoned by President Donald Trump. Johnson, who has rarely voted, still believes the 2020 election was stolen and has a chip on his shoulder about his sentencing. Other rioters are also running for office, including Brian Mock, Tyler Dykes, and David Medina, who allegedly smashed a wooden “Speaker of the House” sign belonging to Pelosi, are running for the Minnesota Senate and South Carolina respectively.
