The first migrants deported from the United States arrived in Democratic Republic of Congo, according to reports. The deportees, from Colombia, Peru, and Ecuador, landed in Kinshasa at around 1 a.m. (0000 GMT), according to one of the migrants. The lower number of arrivals may be due to last-minute interventions by U.S. federal judges.
