A fireball was spotted on Sunday, March 22, sparking interest across the United States, with over 300 reports received from observers in California, Nevada and Arizona. This is the third meteor sighting in the US within a week. The next major meteor event is expected to occur in April, when the annual Lyrid meteor shower is set to begin. Meteoroids are often seen as meteors due to a space rock entering Earth's atmosphere, which then burn up as they fall from the sky.
