The first two Red Sox lineups of the season featured Roman Anthony in left field, Jarren Duran as designated hitter, and Masataka Yoshida. However, this will change as manager Alex Cora continues to juggle five outfield options. Rafaela will play center when Rafaela gets his first day off. Despite acknowledging the challenge, Cora believes it will benefit the players and help them stay healthy. Yoshida, who signed a five-year contract with the Red Sox in 2022-23, is expected to play three of the next five games, including at least one in the left field.
