Amtrak is investing $8 million in upgrades to its downtown Cleveland station to make it more accessible for passengers. The project includes a new 1,200-foot-long concrete platform, walkways, and an expanded canopy. Work is expected to begin this spring and be completed within 18 months. The upgrades follow a 2020 settlement between Amtrak and the U.S. Department of Justice over Amtrak's failure to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act. Additional Ohio stations are also scheduled for upgrades.
