In meetings, women are more likely to be interrupted, overlooked, or have their ideas “bropriated” when a man repeats them. They are also expected to project warmth and competence simultaneously, while men are rewarded for sounding confident. Despite efforts by companies to address this issue, women make about 82 to 84 cents for every dollar men earn. They hold just 29 percent of C-suite roles in the workforce. The author suggests that while AI can help for gender equality, it can also reinforce longstanding inequality within organizations.
