Oklahoma legislators are pushing for $50 million in permanent funding for school safety measures following the shooting of Principal Kirk Moore at Pauls Valley High School. The $50m allocated in this year's state budget for a pilot school security program is temporary but will become permanent once passed. State Rep. Cynthia Roe, R-Lindsay, expressed her emotional reaction after Moore was shot in the leg while confronting a former student. The state budget with this security funding now heads to the House for further consideration.
