Gas prices are $1 higher than they were leading up to the Iran war

The average U.S. gas price is now a dollar higher than it was before the Iran war. The increase was largely caused by the conflict. As a result, shipping through the Strait of Hormuz has significantly decreased. The main component of the gas, however, has also increased.
