South Bay Native Explores The Otherworldly In Premiere Of 'Shades And Shadows'

Actress Amy Vitiello is starring in the world premiere play, Shades and Shadows, which is set in ancient Greece and is set to open with a preview night on April 30 at the Magic Theatre in San Francisco. She credits her journey to success after studying theater at Cal State Long Beach from 2001-2006 and attending graduate school at UC Davis. Her latest play, "Shades and Shadows," is a 90-minute production about three people who all encounter a prophetess and each tells a different version of the same story. The play, which also features live music and dance, was inspired by Greek mythology and its portrayal of an unnamed prophetess.
