A Weather Alert Day is in place for Friday, with threats of hail and wind expected to be made to central and eastern Kansas. The first wave of storms is expected to occur late Thursday night and early Friday. A cold front moving in Friday evening is also expected to bring severe weather. Meanwhile, western Kansas could see some fire potential and wind gusts.
