Germany will release part of its oil reserves after the International Energy Agency (IEA) recommended the release of 400 million barrels from stockpiles, the largest such move in IEA history. Economy Minister Katherina Reiche also confirmed that the government plans to limit petrol price increases at filling stations and introduce stricter antitrust regulation on the sector. The move comes as countries are dealing with rising crude prices amid the U.S.-Israeli war with Iran.
