Homicide investigation launched after Schaumburg woman found strangled, man in custody

A homicide investigation is underway in northwest suburban Schaumburg after a woman was found strangled in the 1700th century. The woman's identity was not publicly disclosed, but the Cook County medical examiner's office ruled it a homicide. Police also found a man known to the woman in the house.
