The Pittsburgh Pirates have signed 19-year-old infielder Konnor Griffin to a nine-year contract with them. The extension will take him through the 2034 season. Pirates Chairman Bob Nutting described it as a meaningful commitment to the team, city, and fans. Griffin has performed well in Major League games since being brought up to play during the Pirates' Home Opener and has a double, three RBI, two walks and two runs scored.
